Gourmet Coffee Shop Steak and Egg Breakfast

This was a Door County Coffee Fan recipe. It was not made in the kitchens of the Door County Coffee Cafe.
Ingredients:

Featured ingredient: Cinnamon Hazelnut Coffee 10 oz. Bag Ground

  • 2 tablespoons plus one teaspoon Door County Cinnamon Hazelnut Coffee
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon tightly packed light brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cracked black pepper
  • 2 pounds boneless ribeye steak
  • 4 farm fresh eggs
  • Cooking spray for grill or pan
  • Fresh chives for garnish

Instructions:

1. Preheat grill to 400 degrees
2. Spray grill and pan for eggs with cooking spray
3. Brush steaks with olive oil
4. Create a rub with all dry ingredients and rub steaks liberally on both sides with the coffee steak rub
5. Grill steaks to medium rare - about 13 minutes turning once
6. While the steaks are cooking, add the eggs to a pan on the side burner and cook eggs sunny side up

​To Plate:
Serve half steak topped with one egg and top with fresh chives
Serve with ketchup and hash browns and a great cup of Door County Coffee!
