Door Country Coffee Breakfast Cornmeal Pudding

This is a Door County Coffee Fan recipe. It was not made in the kitchens of the Door County Coffee Café.

Featured ingredient: French Roast Coffee 10 oz. Bag Ground

  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 cups brewed Door Country Coffee French Roast coffee
  • 1 cup yellow cornmeal
  • 3 eggs
  • Additional milky coffee for serving on top.


  1. In a large saucepan combine the honey, salt, butter, 2 cups coffee & 1 cup milk
  2. Bring to a boil over medium heat
  3. In a small bowl whisk the cornmeal and 1 cup milk until smooth
  4. Reduce heat to low and cook for 5 minutes more. Always slowly stirring
  5. Cover and take off the heat
  6. Beat the eggs in a small bowl
  7. Stir 1 cup of the hot cornmeal into the eggs and whisk rapidly until smooth
  8. Gradually add the cornmeal-egg mixture back into the saucepan
  9. Cover and cook on slow for another 5 minutes
  10. Serve with milky coffee on top
