Hawaiian Hazelnut Bliss Donuts:

  • 1/8 cup Door County Hawaiian Hazelnut Coffee, finely ground
  • 3/4 cup Bread Flour
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened Cocoa powder
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp. fine sea salt
  • 1/3 cup vanilla yogurt
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 1 large beaten egg
  • 3 Tbsp. melted butter
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
Caramel Drizzle:
  • 1 tsp. Door County Hawaiian Hazelnut Coffee, finely ground
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract

Instructions:

Hawaiian Hazelnut Bliss Donuts:

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F and spray doughnut pan with nonstick spray.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk bread flour, cocoa powder, ground coffee, baking soda, and sea salt.
  3. Make a well in the center of the dry mixture, and add the yogurt, milk, sugar, beaten egg, melted butter, and vanilla. With a large wooden spoon, gently stir together mixture until smooth.
  4. Spoon mixture into a plastic resealable bag, close and cut a corner with scissors. Squeeze batter into pan about 2/3 full.
  5. Bake about 12 minutes or until doughnuts spring bag when touched. Cool about 10 minutes in pan on cooling rack, then turn onto rack to cool.
Caramel Drizzle:
  1. Place ground coffee, brown sugar, butter, and milk in a saucepan and bring to a boil.
  2. Cook and stir until thick, a few minutes.
  3. Allow to cool at least until just warm to drizzle over doughnuts.
