Cinnamon Hazelnut Chocolate Chip Cookies

"Your classic chocolate chip cookie with a coffee-lovers twist! Grounds of Cinnamon Hazelnut Coffee, one of our best-selling flavored coffees, mixed right into the dough gives these cookies a wonderful coffee taste. Rolling the dough in sugar before baking is the 'icing on the cake'. YUM!"

Ingredients

Featured ingredient: Cinnamon Hazelnut Coffee 10 oz. Bag Ground

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons Cinnamon Hazelnut Coffee grounds
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 1/2 cups brown sugar
  • 1 cup margarine
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla
  • 1 egg
  • 1 (12 oz.) package dark chocolate chips
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar for rolling cookie dough ball

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  2. Line large baking sheets with foil
  3. In a medium bowl add flour Cinnamon Hazelnut Coffee grounds, baking powder, and salt and stir till combined
  4. In a large bowl add brown sugar and margarine, mix well; add vanilla and egg, beat until combined; Stir in flour mixture and dark chocolate chips
  5. Scoop dough into 2 inch balls
  6. In ziplock baggy add sugar and cinnamon, mix till combined
  7. Roll cookie dough ball in sugar mixture
  8. Place dough 2 inches apart onto baking sheet, use tines on the back of a fork and flatten into a criss-cross pattern
  9. Bake for 13 minutes, roughly eight cookies on a sheet,
  10. Allow to cool and remove from pan
