Zinger Brownies

"Playing around in the kitchen! Plus I LOVE coffee!"

 

This is a Door County Coffee Fan recipe. It was not made in the kitchens of the Door County Coffee Café.

 

Ingredients

Featured ingredient: Colombian Decaf Coffee 10 oz. Bag Ground

Brownies:

• 1/2 cup shortening
• 1/2 cup butter
• 1 cup unsweetened organic cocoa powder
• 2 cups brown organic sugar
• 6 teaspoons Door Country Coffee Colombian granules/ground
• 1 tablespoon hot water
• 4 large organic eggs
• 1 cup organic all-purpose flour
• 2 teaspoons organic vanilla extract
• 1/2 teaspoon sea salt

Frosting:

• 1/2 cup organic butter, softened
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 2 cups confectioners' sugar
• 1 tablespoon Door Country Coffee Colombian granules
• 1 1/2 tablespoons organic milk

 

Instructions

Brownies:

  1. Grease 9x13 pan
  2. Oven 350°
  3. Combine ingredients
  4. Bake for 30-40 minutes

Frosting:

  1. Combine ingredients with mixer
