Creamy Latte Pops

This is a Door County Coffee Fan recipe. It was not made in the kitchens of the Door County Coffee Café.

 

Ingredients

Featured ingredient: Colombian Coffee 10 oz. Bag Ground

  • 1 tablespoon plus 1 teaspoon Door County Colombian Coffee
  • 1 (14oz.) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons vanilla extract
  • 12 (3oz.) disposable plastic cups
  • 12 (3oz.) ice pop molds
  • 12 food-safe wooden craft sticks

Instructions

1. Bring sweetened condensed milk to a boil in medium saucepan, stirring frequently. Then reduce heat to low and cook, stirring constantly, for about 15 minutes or until very thick
2. Add milk, cream and coffee slowly to saucepan on low heat, whisking until well blended
3. Remove from heat, and stir in vanilla
4. Let cool completely (about 30 minutes)
5. Pour 1/3 cup cooled mixture into each cup or mold and freeze until partially frozen (about 1 1/2 to 2 hours)
6. Insert wooden sticks and freeze until firm (about 6 hours or overnight)
