BREWING TEA
Water temperature plays an important role in a good cup of tea.
One rule is...
The lighter the tea, the cooler the water;
The darker the tea, the hotter the water.
Below are recommended temperatures and times:
Green and White Teas
165 - 185° F for 3-4 minutes
Oolong Teas
190-200° F for 2-3 minutes
Black Teas, Herbals & Infusions
212° F for 4-5 minutes
Fill tea kettle with fresh, cold water, bring to less than a boil, about 180° F.
Warm teapot. Measure one teaspoon of loose tea per cup & place in a disposable t-sac, infuser basket or directly into pot.
Fill teapot with hot water & brew to taste. Remove the tea to prevent overbrewing.
Can also be served over ice.
